Lean CEO evolved from the Superfactory website, which was a lean manufacturing information portal. In early 2011 Lean CEO was created to broaden the focus to lean enterprise leadership.
1997: Superfactory is started as a simple list of manufacturing-related internet links.
1998: Several colleagues ask for access to the list, so the public website is created.
1999: The website hits a milestone of over 1,000 categorized resource links.
2000: The monthly e-newsletter is added, with book reviews, articles, events, and news.
2002: To help offset increasing costs, a small group of digital knowledge products are added.
2004: The Evolving Excellence blog is created.
2011: Lean CEO is created.
